Amari Cooper to Raiders: Twitter Reacts as WR Is Selected in 2015 NFL Draft

The Oakland Raiders added a premium offensive weapon on Thursday, selecting Alabama wide receiver Amari Cooper with the No. 4 overall pick in the 2015 NFL draft.

Almost universal praise poured out once Raiders general manager Reggie McKenzie and Co. added a potential No. 1 pass-catcher for young quarterback Derek Carr.

John Middlekauff of Comcast SportsNet feels McKenzie and Oakland's brass have done a commendable job at the top of the past two drafts:

So the consensus sentiment is pretty clear—and rightly so. Cooper was an absolute stud for the Crimson Tide throughout his career, but particularly in 2014, when he hauled in 124 receptions for 1,727 yards and 16 touchdowns.

The 2015 receiver class is perceived as being extremely deep, similar to how strong last year's was. It's therefore quite a compliment for Cooper to be the first wideout off the board.
