Davis Leaves With Groin Injury vs. Indians
Sunday, April 26
The Tigers' official Twitter account provided the details on Davis' status:
Davis hurt himself while running to first after he smacked a single in the final inning at Comerica Park—his third hit of the game—as MLive.com's Chris Iott reported.
The 34-year-old veteran still has enough speed to be a threat to steal bases. He has thrived in Detroit since joining the club in 2014, and Davis raised his batting average for this young season to .341 on Sunday.
Anthony Gose has been splitting time with Davis in center field as it is, but Davis has been playing quite well of late. The players should continue rotating in and out of the lineup until one of them truly takes over.
