Heyward Returns vs. Phillies
Tuesday, April 28
Heyward returned to the lineup against the Philadelphia Phillies on April 28, MLBLineups confirmed.
Heyward was not in the team's lineup against the Phillies on Monday.
MLB.com's Jenifer Langosch provided the initial details of Heward's injury on April 26, when he left the game after he "tweaked something in his left leg." The Cardinals' official Twitter account offered more specificity about Heyward leaving the field at Miller Park:
Heyward has had a bit of a rough start in the batter's box since being traded from the Atlanta Braves to St. Louis last November, with a slash line of only .214/.236/.371 through 16 games this season. However, Heyward is a two-time Gold Glove Award recipient and brings tremendous defense to the outfield.
