WWE's Top Tweets, Instagram Photos and Viral Videos for Week of April 13

Ryan DilbertApr 17, 2015

It's fitting that in the midst of the company's European tour, an Englishman featured so prominently in WWE's best social media.

Neville's trademark high-flying move showed up in a Vine video and a YouTube clip that made the rounds on the Internet this week. Other WWE-related shareable content dealt with questionable geography, the NBA playoffs and some of the least extreme matches ever.

A treasure trove of AJ photos made the cut as well.

Before we dig into that and start pining for the former Divas champ anymore, a few other images stood out on Instagram.

Photographer Matt Roberts caught a great shot of the past meeting the future. Finn Balor crossed paths with Jim Ross in a moment made permanent thanks to Instagram:

WWE's Instagram account shared more of an unsettling sight. As Luke Harper readied himself for another slugfest, he stood on the entrance ramp. Giant versions of his eyes haunt from the background:

To wash away the creepiness that seeing two sets of Harper's eyes at once may cause, simply lean on AJ.

After walking away from wrestling, she has received a number of tributes. The latest one comes courtesy of an extensive photo gallery:

Flipping through that is not a bad way to spend the first part of the weekend. The same goes for David Shoemaker's take on the NBA playoffs.

He fantasy books them WWE-style on Grantland:

The Oklahoma Thunder didn't end up making the playoffs, but their imagined scenario here is the most entertaining. How things shake out in real life promise to be decidedly less interesting. You just don't see enough heel turns in basketball.

For all of pro wrestling's great elements, it also has its embarrassing ventures that are best left forgotten. WWE forced fans to reflect on some of those in a video about the lamest gimmick matches in history:

If you think a Kiss Me Arse match sounds terrible, go watch Razor Ramon and The 1-2-3 Kid battle in a Crybaby match.

For the less masochistic among us, it would be far preferable to watch Neville in action. In his short time on the main roster, he has looked tremendous, showing off an electric move set. The best of that arsenal is his corkscrew Shooting Star Press, dubbed Red Arrow.

WWE created a Vine video of him hitting the stunner of a move in Nottingham, England:

The Red Arrow showed up again when the company counted down the top 10 high-flying moves. Neville joins Rob Van Dam, Jeff Hardy and Evan Bourne in a compilation of aerial excellence:

The high-flying El Ligero was among the many folks watching Monday's Raw that aired in England's capital city. He said what a lot of people were thinking when Michael Cole told fans that Preston was just an hour's drive from London.

El Ligero had his doubts about that:

Cole's flub inspired a number of distance-related jokes afterward. If the announcer checked out Twitter at all this week, he most certainly would have a better understanding of English geography.

One of the funniest jabs at Cole came from the good people at Wrestling Memes. They did their own distance miscalculation on Twitter:

If that's all it takes to get to the moon, then it looks like WWE has another option for a future host of WrestleMania. If Neville can hit moves like Red Arrow burdened by gravity, there's no telling what he could do up there.
