Daily Fantasy Baseball 2015: Best MLB DFS DraftKings Lineup for April 15

Wednesdays are one of the best days on the daily fantasy baseball calendar. You get some daytime DFS action and a load of night games to work with. We focus on the later MLB games here—play early and then play with the "house" money—as we help you set your best lineup at DraftKings for April 15.

Starting Pitchers

Brandon Morrow, San Diego Padres ($6,700)

Here's the thing about Morrow: He is going to rack up strikeouts as long as he is healthy enough to pitch. Those are easy fantasy points. Morrow was dynamite in his season debut, striking out seven and not allowing a run. He draws the Arizona Diamondbacks at home in San Diego's pitchers park, so we should get at least a quality start with a strikeout per inning.

Drew Pomeranz, Oakland Athletics ($6,100)

As difficult to trust as Pomeranz might be out of the gate, he is a strikeout guy facing a Houston Astros team that has struck out more times than any team to date and scored just 17 runs in eight games (the fewest runs per game in baseball), per MLB.com. Again, innings and strikeouts are what you need to score fantasy points. Pomeranz, who allowed just two hits and no walks, striking out six in his season debut, will get easy innings and strikeouts here.

Infielders

C Miguel Montero, Chicago Cubs ($3,400)

He is off to an awful start (1-for-15, .042), but that is just making him a huge value play, particularly when you consider his career numbers against the Cincinnati Reds' fill-in starter Jason Marquis. Montero has four homers in 20 at-bats (.350) with 10 RBI against Marquis in his career.

• Wilin Rosario, Colorado Rockies ($4,100)
• Buster Posey, San Francisco Giants ($4,300)
• Brian McCann, New York Yankees ($4,000)

1B Wilin Rosario, Colorado Rockies ($4,100)

Miguel Cabrera ($5,000) is the obvious play, especially against a left-handed starter, but Rosario is an affordable alternative. Rosario has great career numbers against Tim Lincecum ($7,400), hitting .316 (6-for-19) with two homers and a .458 on-base percentage.

• Joey Votto, Cincinnati Reds ($4,900)

2B Stephen Drew, New York Yankees ($3,600)

As disappointing as Drew has been in his career, there is something about him as a DFS play Wednesday night. First, he is a streaky hitter who homered Sunday and Monday night. Second, Drew has hit .368 (7-for-19) against the Baltimore Orioles' Bud Norris ($7,400), who got hammered in his season debut. The price is right, too.

• Robinson Cano, Seattle Mariners ($4,900)
• Daniel Murphy, New York Mets ($3,900)

3B Miguel Cabrera, Detroit Tigers ($5,000)

OK, we took the bargains at first base and starting pitcher to get this beast in the lineup. Miggy is not only worth the freight because he is great, but he is also scorching out of the gate (.450) and has solid numbers against Francisco Liriano ($8,700). Cabrera has almost a 1.000 OPS against lefties in his career, per Baseball-Reference.com, and two homers off Liriano and a .415 OBP.

• Chase Headley, New York Yankees ($4,300)
• Matt Carpenter, St. Louis Cardinals ($4,300)

SS Troy Tulowitzki, Colorado Rockies ($5,400)

This is another hitter we justifiably saved up for above. Tulo is off to a solid start this season (.355), which shouldn't surprise you. The good news is he is still healthy, so play him while that lasts. Tulo doesn't have great career numbers against Lincecum, but he does have two homers and 11 RBI.

• Starlin Casto, Chicago Cubs ($4,300)
• Alcides Escobar, Kansas City Royals ($4,200)

Outfielders

Matt Kemp, San Diego Padres ($4,800)

He has yet to homer, but he is off to a good start (.368) and, like Tulo, needs to be taken advantage of while he is healthy. Kemp has a homer, double and four hits in seven career at-bats against the Diamondbacks' Chase Anderson ($5,900). You should like a lot of the Padres, who are heavy favorites against the Diamondbacks here.

Jose Bautista, Toronto Blue Jays ($6,000)

Joey Bats and his fantasy owners should fatten up against the Tampa Bay Rays' Erasmo Ramirez ($5,000) in his spot start. The Jays are among the best teams to stack with, starting with their biggest bat of all. Bautista has a hit in his lone career at-bat against Ramirez, too.

Adam Jones, Baltimore Orioles ($4,900)

Gerardo Parra ($3,100) has huge numbers (.471) off the Cards' Lynn, but he is more of a bargain play. The makeup of the roster above allows for Jones to be afforded. The O's outfielder is off to one of the best starts in baseball (,429) with four homers and 11 RBI. He also homered Tuesday night.
