WWE Raw: Potential Spoilers, Rumors, News and Preview for April 13

Ryan DilbertApr 13, 2015

If nothing else, expect an electric audience on the April 13 edition of WWE Raw.

Last week's show suffered from a lack of surprises and noteworthy action. This time out, the company travels to London's O2 Arena, where the fans are famous for being loud and passionate and boosting the product.

Randy Orton's feud with Seth Rollins is sure to be a key part of the night. The spotlight will also be on John Cena's United States Championship, the chase for the Divas Championship and Sheamus' quest to stomp out WWE's underdogs.

Look for the Extreme Rules card to continue to take shape, perhaps assigning Dean Ambrose, Dolph Ziggler and Roman Reigns some in-ring duties for the upcoming pay-per-view.

Due to the time difference between England and the U.S., WWE will tape the show during the afternoon. Spoilers will begin to leak online at that point. To get an earlier glimpse of what to expect on Monday's Raw, we turn to Twitter, backstage reports and James Wortman's five-point preview on WWE.com.

News, Potential Spoilers

During last week's Raw, several squeaky wheels got the grease. A group of Divas annoyed Kane backstage until he booked a Battle Royal to decide the No. 1 contender to Nikki Bella's title.

The identity of the Diva rumored to come out as the winner is not surprising in the least. According to Wrestling Observer Newsletter (h/t Wrestling Inc) WWE has been planning for Naomi to earn the title shot.

That follows her pinning the Divas champ in non-title action along with piling up wins of late. It appears that WWE is moving Naomi toward contention. Whether Paige remains in the title picture is less certain.

While a Naomi win wouldn't shock anyone, Raw may feature some other surprises.

WWE agent Michael Hayes teased on Twitter that something unexpected is coming:

Whatever the company has planned, it won't include Jey Uso. A banged-up shoulder has kept him off the European tour. The WWE Twitter account mentioned that Jey is at home "healing up":

Jimmy Uso will have to fight his battles alone. And someone new is going to have to do the ring announcements. Lilian Garcia isn't in the U.K. either.

She announced on Twitter that she is undergoing knee surgery:

A pair of more notable absences could be on tap as well. James Caldwell of Pro Wrestling Torch notes that "IC champion Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns are not being advertised" for Monday's Raw. With Bryan involved in a feud with England's favorite son, Bad News Barrett, it would be stunning for WWE not to feature him.

Reigns, a top-of-the-card star, would be an odd choice as a guy to leave off the show. Not every Superstar who appears on Raw is advertised, though.

Moving Toward Extreme Rules

Since The Celtic Warrior stormed back onto the scene with a new look and a nastier attitude, he has targeted Bryan and Dolph Ziggler, men he dismisses as runts. With Bryan and Barrett set to clash at Extreme Rules, fans are wondering if Sheamus and Ziggler will square off.

Sheamus readies Dolph Ziggler for White Noise.

Wortman suggests that Sheamus and a rival will be featured on Raw when he asks in the WWE.com preview, "Who will stand up to Sheamus?"

Whether that is Ziggler or someone else, it's likely to be an indication of the company's plans for the Irishman at the pay-per-view.

The safe bet is that The Miz and Damien Mizdow are on that card as well.

On Thursday's SmackDown, The Miz's former stunt double whacked him in the mug. That story is set to continue on Raw. Wortman asks, "How will The Miz respond to his former protege this week?"

Knowing The Miz and the antagonistic nature of WWE's narratives, that response won't be one of forgiveness. The two rivals will likely turn up the intensity and charge right into Extreme Rules.

The main event for that show is now set and is expected to get plenty of airtime on Monday night. Wortman writes, "Expect a confrontation between Orton and Rollins once Raw goes on the air."

That goes without saying. The biggest feud heading into the next big show is certain to be a prominent part of Raw. WWE will have to do better than throwing together another tag team match in order to hype it, though.

Randy Orton eyes Seth Rollins.

WWE's trip to London will also feature another Superstar getting a title opportunity.

Cena has put his title on the line each week, taking on Dean Ambrose and Stardust the last two times out. The WWE.com preview confirms that this open challenge will continue.

Wortman writes that whether Cena will be champion heading into Extreme Rules "depends on who answers Cena's open challenge in the U.K."

If WWE wants the O2 Arena to explode, it should have Newcastle native Neville be Cena's next challenger. Knowing London fans, though, just about anybody who walks out of those curtains looking to knock off Cena will be received with a roar.
