Jameis Winston's Lawyer Discusses QB's NFL Readiness, Maturity
Former Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston may very well be the No. 1 overall pick in the 2015 NFL draft, but his attorney, David Cornwell, acknowledged Friday that the talented signal-caller still has some growing up to do.
The Heisman Trophy winner enjoyed a spectacular collegiate career with the Seminoles, however, it was somewhat overshadowed by off-the-field issues. According to Zach Berman of The Philadelphia Inquirer, Cornwall believes that is the area in which his client must improve:

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The 21-year-old superstar took a big step in the right direction back in March when he orchestrated a meeting with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. Per Berman, that led to Goodell having some lofty expectations for Winston:
Although Winston's tenure at FSU was tumultuous to say the least, he has a chance to put it all behind him and thrive at the NFL level.
His situation isn't an uncommon one, and Cornwell believes he will work to get past it:
Cornwell took to Twitter to further clarify his remarks:
"With his meetings with #NFL Commissioner, Troy Vincent, and his other pre-draft work, I bet Jameis is more ready than most.

"Jdubb is not unique. Issue of readiness is why we have #nfl rookie symposium n the resources of #nfl player engagement. Jdubb will b fine.

Provided the Tampa Bay Buccaneers select Winston No. 1 overall as most expect, he will have to shoulder the pressure of being the face of the franchise.
That will undoubtedly place him in a sink-or-swim scenario, and it will quickly become apparent if Cornwell's belief in his client is well placed.
