Liverpool Transfer News: Rumours on Alexandre Lacazette, Danny Ings
Liverpool will face even more competition for the signature of Olympique Lyon forward Alexandre Lacazette, as Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly joined the Reds and Arsenal on the list of potential suitors.
According to L'Equipe (h/t Metro's Hannah Duncan), Laurent Blanc's side will have to make some moves in order to comply with UEFA's financial fair play regulations to make the transfer happen:
"Lacazette is in high demand heading into this summer’s transfer window after a fine season for Lyon, in which he has hit 26 goals in 28 appearances to date, making him Ligue 1’s top scorer this term.
And his impressive form has seen the 23-year-old linked with both Liverpool and Arsenal in recent weeks.
[...]
But for Laurent Blanc’s side to secure a deal, it is likely they will have to offload either Edinson Cavani or Ezequiel Lavezzi to comply with Financial Fair Play regulations.

Lacazette's 2014-15 season couldn't have played out any better so far, and his 26 goals in just 28 matches have made him a popular name on the transfer market, via Duncan.
The 23-year-old recently scored his first goal for the French national team in their 2-0 win over Denmark, and per WhoScored's Andy Brassell, he played a vital role in the win:
The Lyon man is an aggressive, speedy attacker with fantastic scoring instincts and an admirable work rate. Coupled with the equally impressive Nabil Fekir, he has given Lyon a fantastic one-two punch in attack.
Fekir will be a sought-after player himself when the transfer market opens, but as shared by FourFourTwo's Adam Digby, Lacazette's fantastic season marks him as the top prospect in the Lyon team:
PSG's entry in the race for his signature is bad news but certainly not devastating. As previously mentioned, Les Parisiens have to work around FFP regulations, which could be a problem, and should Lyon decide to sell the star striker, they'd rather move him out of Ligue 1 and not strengthen a direct competitor.
It's his current club that will be the biggest obstacle to any deal. Lyon are a team on the rise, with a squad packed with young talent and a new stadium that should be ready in time for Euro 2016.
The French side has already indicated Lacazette is not for sale, and he recently extended his deal, which now runs until 2018.
Bundesliga Clubs Scouting Danny Ings

According to the Daily Mirror's Alex Richards, Schalke, Borussia Monchengladbach and Borussia Dortmund sent scouts to watch Burnley's Danny Ings play with England's U21 team against their German counterparts in a 3-2 win.
The 22-year-old will be out of contract at the end of this season and has been linked with the Reds, per Richards, but due to Premier League regulations, foreign clubs would have to pay Burnley a compensation fee that is significantly lower than their English rivals.
Richards certainly knows who he'd choose if he was given the option:
Ings is Burnley's top scorer with nine Premier League goals this season, via WhoScored, and at this point in time, it seems unlikely the talented striker will opt to stay with the Clarets.
Liverpool seems like a natural fit, as the Reds have a solid reputation for talent development and a clear need for depth at the position. Ings may have to battle for regular minutes upon arrival, but he has shown the quality to do just that all season, including in the U21s' latest training sessions:
It still makes sense for Ings to continue his development and career in his native England, but due to the fact the Bundesliga clubs would have to pay Burnley less for his services, they would have the ability to hand the youngster a more attractive wage packet.
A move to Liverpool has been mentioned for months now, however, and as things stand, the Reds should still be considered favourites in the race.
