Schaub Reportedly Signs with Ravens
Tuesday, March 31
Peter King of Sports Illustrated reported Schaub has signed with the Ravens. Aaron Wilson of The Baltimore Sun reported the deal is expected to be finalized soon.
On Monday, Adam Schefter of ESPN noted multiple teams were showing interest in Schaub:
Schaub, 33, accumulated just 10 pass attempts last season with the Oakland Raiders as rookie Derek Carr's backup, completing five passes for 57 yards while throwing two interceptions. He was cut this offseason by the team.
Before joining the Raiders in 2014, Schaub spent seven years with the Houston Texans after he was traded to the team from the Atlanta Falcons before the 2007 season. In 88 starts with the Texans, he threw for 23,221 yards, 124 touchdowns and 78 interceptions while making the Pro Bowl twice.
While Schaub no longer appears to be an NFL starter, he's an experienced backup to have on the roster behind franchise quarterback Joe Flacco.
