England vs. Lithuania: Goals, Highlights from European Qualifier

Wayne Rooney put England ahead early in their European qualifier against Lithuania, heading home a rebound to give the Three Lions a 1-0 lead in the third minute at Wembley.

Danny Welbeck nutmegged a Lithuanian defender, and his hard shot was saved at the near post but bounced right to Rooney's head, who made no mistake. 

Only a minute earlier, Rooney had a golden one-on-one opportunity, but his shot hit the woodwork.

Danny Welbeck doubled England's lead right before half-time, hitting home from close range. 

The goal made him the qualifying round's top scorer.

Raheem Sterling opened his England goal-scoring account from close range to make it 3-0 for the English.
