Michael Frazier Declares for 2015 NBA Draft: Latest Details and Reaction
After three seasons at the University of Florida, guard Michael Frazier II has declared for the 2015 NBA draft.
Frazier announced the news on Twitter on Friday:
"— Michael Frazier II (@mfrazier20) March 27, 2015"
Forbes contributor Darren Heitner reported Thursday that he has an agent in place as well:
Per Jonathan Givony of DraftExpress.com, the 6'4" sharpshooter has a good idea of where he will land in the draft:
Frazier averaged over 12 points and four rebounds per game at Florida this past season, and there is no question that his greatest asset is his ability to hit shots from long range.
The Tampa, Florida, native knocked down 38 percent of his three-point attempts last season after connecting at nearly a 45 percent clip in 2013-14. Frazier's three-point makes per game also went down from three to just over two, but he is apparently still confident in his NBA prospects.
It can be argued that Frazier is somewhat one-dimensional as a player, but three-point marksmen can be extremely valuable at the NBA level.
If Frazier can continue to improve the other areas of his game and become a more complete player, then he certainly has an opportunity to make a splash as a pro.
