Shved Could Miss Rest of Season with Incomplete Fractured Rib
Wednesday, March 25
The Knicks announced Shved will be evaluated again in two to three weeks after his MRI revealed an incomplete fracture to his rib.
On March 22, Shved suffered the rib injury against the Dallas Mavericks and was ruled out for the remainder of the game.
Even though this has been a disastrous season for the Knicks, Shved has been one of the few bright spots. With Carmelo Anthony out for the year, the 26-year-old is leading the team with 15.1 points per game in 15 games. He's also contributing 4.7 rebounds and 3.7 assists since joining the Knicks.
Shved is battling for a roster spot in the future, as well as performing well right now, so his absence will be felt by the team.
