NFL Rumors: Rounding Up Latest Buzz on Greg Jennings, Jameis Winston and More
Call it the best of both worlds when a veteran such as Greg Jennings and an incoming rookie such as Jameis Winston headline the NFL rumor mill.
Jennings embodies the free-agent market at the moment, which has become more concentrated with experienced names thanks to the NFL Veteran Combine in Arizona.
Winston personifies the 2015 NFL draft. Some of the most notable first-round candidates are big on talent and an equal amount of risk, making the picks near the top of the round some of the most difficult in years.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Despite approaching the slowest time of the NFL calendar, there's little reason to look away. Each move creates a ripple effect on the league, even more so as teams now eye the approaching draft.
Seahawks Not Done Along Defensive Line
After 37 sacks by the unit as a whole, the Seattle Seahawks still want to make additions to the defensive line.
At this point on the market, this means looking at a player such as C.J. Wilson, a five-year veteran who can contribute in a rotational capacity if asked.
ProFootballTalk revealed Wilson's visit to Seattle:
Wilson, a seventh-round pick by the Green Bay Packers in the 2010 NFL draft, owns 5.5 career sacks and at just 27 years old has much to offer a team in need of depth.
Over at Pro Football Focus, Wilson ranked as the No. 27 4-3 defensive end in the NFL last season with a strong mark as a run defender. In theory, Seattle could deploy the East Carolina product in certain packages to clog running lanes while also helping other rushers to run free.
For a team with an obvious want, Wilson seems to fit Seattle well. Then again, with his market picking up, Wilson may see other doors open soon.
Jameis Winston and Tennessee?
The Tennessee Titans are in a difficult spot to say the least.
Jake Locker's no longer with the team, leaving quarterback a bit thin with Zach Mettenberger and Charlie Whitehurst to lead the way. The former showed promise last season, hinting strong upside, but it would be quite the gamble for a rebuilding team.
Even more so with one of either Jameis Winston or Marcus Mariota available to them at No. 2 overall.
Some figure the Titans will ignore quarterback at the slot and give Mettenberger a chance, but the front office at least appears to be doing its due diligence with Winston, per
Terry McCormick of 247Sports.com:

"The Tennessee Titans will have a private workout and will also bring in Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston for a visit to Nashville, 247Sports has learned."
Folks know all about Winston at this point, he of off-field shenanigans and immense pro upside capable of making him the best quarterback of this year's class.
If Winston is there at No. 2 overall, the front office will need to decide whether the potential rewards outweigh the risks. If the staff chooses to bolster its defense with someone such as USC's Leonard Williams and roll with Mettenberger, it may watch as Winston turns out just fine and becomes a stellar starter.
The inverse is also true. In a quarterback-needy league with a weak class on approach after the top two, it's hard to imagine the Titans skip on Winston if he's there—hence the front office making sure it gets up close and personal with the former Heisman Trophy winner.
Greg Jennings' Market Tour

When Jennings left Green Bay after seven seasons with the Packers to join the rival Minnesota Vikings, it's hard to imagine he planned another trip to the market so soon.
Alas, Jennings is on the open market at 31 years old after a pair of erratic seasons with up-and-down quarterbacks under center:
| 2013 | 15 | 68 | 106 | 804 | 4 |
| 2014 | 16 | 59 | 92 | 742 | 6 |
There will always be a market for a sure-handed veteran who can move the chains, though, and suitors know just what they are getting with Jennings after inflated numbers in Green Bay playing with Aaron Rodgers and down numbers playing in Minnesota with a hodgepodge of names.
According to Bill Voth of Black and Blue Review, the Carolina Panthers brought Jennings to town on a visit:
"Two-time Pro Bowl receiver Greg Jennings was in Charlotte on Saturday for a meeting with Panthers officials, according to league sources. Jennings, who was released by the Vikings earlier this month, has received interest from multiple teams, and he’s expected to take time to weigh his options.
"
At the right price, Jennings is a genius fit for the Panthers as the front office looks to continue surrounding quarterback Cam Newton with more weapons.
Jennings would be an ideal complement to Kelvin Benjamin's big-play ability, as he could force defenses to throw attention his way or risk giving up repeated first downs.
As Voth notes, though, the Panthers won't be alone in this line of thinking. Jennings is a valuable commodity in the right situation, something he understands and could use to play teams against one another on the market as he searches for the right fit.
No matter where he lands, Jennings is now the most important name on the market.
