Ahtyba Rubin Signs with Seahawks: Latest Contract Details, Comments, Reaction
Ahtyba Rubin was a serviceable starter for seven years with the Cleveland Browns and has now signed with the reigning NFC champion Seattle Seahawks.
Clare Farnsworth of Seahawks.com provided the team's confirmation of the signing on Friday.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Network first reported Thursday that Rubin agreed to terms to change teams for the first time in his NFL career.

Cleveland.com's Mary Kay Cabot adds that it's just a one-year deal for Rubin. ESPN's Jeremy Fowler weighed in on Seattle's free-agent signing:

Jordan Cameron, one of Rubin's former teammates, shared his thoughts on the kind of player Seattle is getting:
Rubin became a true full-time starter for Cleveland in 2010, showing great stamina, durability and a consistently high motor despite an inept Browns offense complementing his side of the ball.
As a former sixth-round draft pick, Rubin fits the makeup of many Seahawks players who weren't drafted high—if at all.
Since his future in Seattle is only guaranteed for one year, there's plenty of incentive for Rubin to make the most of his opportunity with a far more stable organization.
The Browns didn't make much of an effort to retain Rubin this offseason, opting to sign a different defensive tackle in Randy Starks on the open market.
Armed with two first-round draft choices, Cleveland is likely to continue adding depth to the defensive front as it is since the Browns finished last in the NFL versus the run last season.
