Jaguars public relations coordinator Tad Dickman confirmed the move:
Pierce has had a memorable week to say the least. Wilson reported the 24-year-old was arrested on charges of driving under the influence Wednesday. Later that day, the Ravens announced they released Pierce after three years with the team.
One day later, Pierce is back on an NFL roster and in a better spot for playing time. He offered this reaction after learning about his new home:

Pierce was moving down the depth chart in Baltimore due to poor play the last two years after being a breakout star during the team's Super Bowl run in 2012. He would have been a clear No. 2 at best with Justin Forsett returning to the Ravens.
Going to Jacksonville will give Pierce a chance to become a No. 1 back. The Jaguars don't have a proven starter at the position with Toby Gerhart and Denard Robinson as the top two returning starters in 2015. Gus Bradley needed depth heading into the season and found a cheap option without having to give up anything.
