UC Irvine (+8) vs. Louisville

Louisville has the program familiarity, experience and coaching for people to expect a deep run. However, this is not the same team that recently won a national title.

Since the team dismissed point guard Chris Jones, it has struggled offensively. The Cardinals have two quality scorers in Terry Rozier and Montrezl Harrell, but no one else in the lineup can be trusted to contribute at a high level.

Sam Vecenie of CBS Sports thinks this could lead to problems in the first round:

UC Irvine has the size up front with Will Davis and the 7'6" Mamadou Ndiaye. If these players can handle the post defensively, the ability to shoot 39 percent from the outside will help pull out the upset.

Even if the Anteaters don't win, they should be able to keep it close.

Wisconsin (-20) vs. Coastal Carolina

The first day of the NCAA tournament proved seeds don't really matter, but No. 1 Wisconsin shouldn't have much trouble with Coastal Carolina.

Badgers head coach Bo Ryan did give his opponent plenty of respect, saying, "If you could watch them as I have, that's a heck of a 16 seed. ... What they did last year to prove how capable they are and to come back this year and for them to come in that spot, I think there's a lot of people surprised," via Jeff Potrykus of the Journal Sentinel.

Despite those kind words, Coastal Carolina is not a squad that can match up in this one. The Chanticleers won the Big South conference tournament but ended the regular season with an 11-point loss to Presbyterian, which finished its season with a 10-22 record.

On the other hand, Wisconsin has won 16 of its last 17 games in the Big Ten behind the play of All-American Frank Kaminsky. The 7'0" center can score inside and out, and Coastal Carolina simply won't have an answer for him.

Even if it is close early, the efficient Badgers offense should be able to pull away for a blowout win.

Oregon (-1.5) vs. Oklahoma State

Oklahoma State earned its spot in the NCAA tournament with its play throughout the season, but it has struggled immensely down the stretch. Including the conference tournament, the Cowboys lost six of their final seven games.

While playing in the Big 12 is not easy, we saw Thursday that the conference hasn't been able to live up to expectations.

Conversely, Oregon has been hot, earning 11 wins in the past 13 games. Guard Joseph Young is earning believers every time out, like Doug Haller of AZ Central:

Young is one of the top scorers in the nation, and his supporting cast continues to improve every time out. While No. 8-No. 9 games are usually close, the Ducks should have no problem in this one.
