Following Along
Folks, you shouldn't need any updating brackets or scrolling live blogs since you're obviously going to be taking off from work—or calling in "sick," whatever you have to do—and watching every single game that is broadcast.
I know what you're thinking: I don't have four televisions, oh no! But that's an amateur way of thinking. You have a computer, right? Maybe you have a tablet? Or a smart phone? Or at least a second television?
C'mon, there are plenty of ways to watch all four games at once, folks. Get creative. Follow in real time. Embrace the Madness.
But hey, if you can't, just about every major sports media outlet will have an updating bracket, live highlights, etc. Of course, Bleacher Report is going to have you covered and then some. The above bracket, for instance, will update in real time.
And, yes, now is the time to ensure you are following all of your favorite basketball insiders on Twitter as well. Twitter was made for events like the NCAA tournament. When that buzzer-beater shocks the nation, your Twitter account becomes a giant party of sports fans all shouting for joy or kicking rocks in despair, right on your computer screen.
You need to be surrounded by basketball for the next four days, OK? At this very moment, you should be reminiscing about the Fab Five or Tyus Edney or the 1985 Villanova Wildcats. You should be asking yourself which team can go on a Butler run, who the next Shabazz Napier might be or if Kentucky can make history.
Folks, aren't you obsessing over whether Duke can survive a suspect defense? Or whether Villanova is big enough on the block to make a run? Or if Kansas can actually get all of its players performing at their best all at once? Or which No. 12 seeds will inevitably upset the No. 5 seeds? Or...
Well, you get the point. Your life is basketball now. The hard court is your prison, and never before has Stockholm Syndrome been this sweet. Enjoy the Madness—we only get to share in it once a year.
