Barcelona vs. Manchester City: Goals, Highlights from Champions League Clash

Ivan Rakitic put Barcelona in a commanding position in their Champions League tie against Manchester City, chipping Joe Hart to give the hosts a 1-0 lead on the night and a 3-1 aggregate advantage.

Rakitic will be credited with the goal, but Lionel Messi's run and assist were typically Messi-esque (brilliant).

Here's that goal by Rakitic. But what an assist from Messi. #FCB 1-0 #MCFC http://t.co/urZuDpIDBS

It had been Messi's night from the start, doing some magical footwork and dancing around Manchester City's defence, as Fernandinho learned the hard way.

Sergio Aguero won a penalty for Manchester City and had a golden opportunity to put CIty back in the tie, but his attempt from the spot was saved by Marc-Andre ter Stegen.

It seems as though ter Stegen may have been tipped off at where Aguero was shooting by Aguero's fellow Argentine, Javier Mascherano.
