Gresham to Undergo Surgery
Wednesday, March 18
Gresham will be undergoing surgery tomorrow after being diagnosed with a herniated disc in his back, according to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network.
Rapoport added:
Indeed, while Gresham was never going to be one of the top targets in free agency this year, teams looking to add another tight end to the roster surely would have had some interest in the player. With his back concerns looming, however, Gresham certainly has become somewhat less appealing.
He finished the 2014 season with the Cincinnati Bengals with 62 receptions for 460 yards and five touchdowns. While he's never lived up to being selected No. 21 overall in the 2010 NFL draft, the 26-year-old is still a productive player who can help a team once his back issues are resolved.
