It will be a tough task for Bordeaux on Sunday, but their last-gasp win away at SM Caen last weekend will give Les Girondins a huge boost. Going to the Chaban Delmas is never an easy task for PSG, with only four wins out of their 21 meetings in Bordeaux.
In all competitions, PSG are unbeaten in their last 15 games, with Wednesday night’s victory over Chelsea in the Champions League perhaps their biggest win as a club since Qatar Sports Investment took over the club.
Bordeaux themselves are in good form, unbeaten in their last seven games. Their last defeat was against PSG at the Parc des Princes in the Coupe de France. Since then, they have won away against Evian and Caen, plus an important 1-0 home win over Saint-Etienne.
Willy Sagnol’s team are still in the hunt for a place in Ligue 1’s top four, the win against Caen was needed, but defeat vs. PSG would see them stay behind Montpellier in seventh place, and losing ground to both Saint-Etienne and Monaco after all three won this weekend.
For the game, Bordeaux are without forwards Cheick Diabate and Henri Saivet, as well as midfielders Thomas Toure and Jussie.
The away side will continue to play without the injured Lucas Moura, plus they will line up without Serge Aurier and Marquinhos, meaning Dutchman Gregory van der Wiel should play from the start.
Predicted Formations
Bordeaux, 4-3-1-2: Cedric Carrasso; Mariano, Tiago Ilori, Lamine Sane, Maxime Poundje; Gregory Sertic, Jaroslav Plasil, Clement Chantome; Wahbi Khazri; Isaac Kiese Thelin, Diego Rolan
PSG, 4-3-3: Salvatore Sirigu; Gregory van der Wiel, Thiago Silva, David Luiz, Lucas Digne; Yohan Cabaye, Blaise Matuidi, Adrien Rabiot; Javier Pastore, Ezequiel Lavezzi, Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Players to Watch
Opportunities for Yohan Cabaye this season have been few and far between. After PSG’s exploits in the Champions League, Blanc may be forced to make changes to his starting XI. Cabaye needs to take this chance with both hands and show that he can still play a huge part in the PSG midfield.
In the January transfer window, Clement Chantome made the move from PSG to Bordeaux, ending 15 years of service at the club. On Sunday the midfielder will have a chance to show his boyhood club what he is capable of. Putting in a top performance against his old side will be key to Bordeaux picking up any points.

Key Battle
Ibrahimovic only played 30 minutes of Wednesday’s draw with Chelsea, so the Swedish forward will be fresh enough for the battle against Nicolas Pallois on Sunday after his red card in London.
PSG’s talisman has now gone 10 league games without scoring from open play and it is a run he will be hoping to stop this weekend. A few spot-kicks have bolstered his scoring record, but Zlatan will know he has been far from his best.
When he has been available for Bordeaux this season, Lamine Sane has been vital to both the club's defence and midfield. Playing beside either loanee Tiago Ilori or new signing Nicolas Pallois, the pressure has been on Sane to guide his less experiences team-mates.
The centre-back has put in a number of excellent performances, showing strength and pace to keep out attackers and his positioning skills have been excellent.
Sunday will be a huge test for Sane, and if he can help shepherd Ibrahimovic and keep the striker at bay, it will be another positive moment in the defender's career.
