Robinson to visit Steelers
Friday, March 13
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported Friday night that Robinson will visit the Pittsburgh Steelers this weekend. It's the first official visit during his free-agency period.
ESPN's Josina Anderson had reported Wednesday that the Steelers were among five different teams showing some level of interest in the 27-year-old defensive back.
The New Orleans Saints drafted Robinson 32nd overall in the 2010 draft. He spent five years with the team, making 33 regular-season starts and appearing in 61 total games. During that time, he intercepted nine passes and made 180 total tackles.
Most of the top free-agent cornerbacks have already been signed, which means teams desperate to add a corner will likely pursue Robinson in the coming days.
He's not likely to be a free agent much longer.
