Bayern Munich vs. Shakhtar Donetsk: Goals, Highlights from Champions League

Thomas Muller gave Bayern Munich an early lead—and the first goal of the tie—converting an early penalty to give the Bavarians a 1-0 lead on the night and on aggregate against Shakhtar Donetsk. 

Muller took the spot kick after defender Oleksandr Kucher fouled Mario Gotze in the penalty area and was sent off.

Kucher made dubious history in the process.

Jerome Boateng made it 2-0 on the night, tapping in a rebound for the hosts. 

Franck Ribery made it 3-0, finishing off a nice exchange in the box. 

Muller got his second of the day, making it 4-0 and all but putting Bayern into the quarter-finals of the competition. 

Holger Badstuber made it five for the Bavarians.
