NFL Free-Agency Rumors: Buzz on DeMarco Murray, Darrelle Revis and More
You would be forgiven if you spent all of Tuesday afternoon simply refreshing your Twitter feed anxiously awaiting the latest NFL moves. After all, there were certainly enough of them that will shape the 2015 playoff race and beyond.
However, there are bound to be plenty more moves with a number of elite free agents still on the market.
With that in mind, here is a look at some of the latest rumors circulating around the league.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈

Pro Football Talk passed along an update on running back DeMarco Murray:
The Jacksonville Jaguars have been very busy this offseason and are bringing in tight end Julius Thomas and cornerback Davon House, among others. Adding a superstar running back like Murray would only solidify what has already been a statement offseason.
After all, Murray won the 2014 Offensive Player of the Year Award and racked up a league-best 1,845 rushing yards. He also tacked on 13 touchdowns and a career-best 416 receiving yards and helped the Dallas Cowboys win the NFC East title.
The Jaguars finished 21st in the league in rushing yards last season and need more depth at the running back position. Not a single Jacksonville player topped 600 rushing yards in 2014, and quarterback Blake Bortles was second on the team with 419. Former college quarterback Denard Robinson actually led the team.
Murray would be a monster update in the backfield, as Albert Breer of the NFL Network noted:
Perhaps the Jaguars can actually compete in 2015 with all of these potential additions.
Adam Schefter of ESPN pointed out that the Buffalo Bills are interested in cornerback Darrelle Revis:
If the Bills did add Revis, it would reunite the cornerback with his former coach, Rex Ryan. Revis is a six-time Pro Bowler and four-time First-Team All-Pro member and was a critical cog in the New England Patriots machine on the way to the Super Bowl title last season.
The Bills’ biggest strength in 2014 was defending the pass (third in the league in opposing passing yards allowed per game), and adding a dynamic playmaker and shutdown cornerback like Revis would only make the secondary all the more imposing. Revis has plenty of experience in Ryan’s system and has proved before that he is more than capable of covering the opponent’s best receiver on an island.

Revis actually commented on his relationship with Ryan before his Patriots played the New York Jets last season, via Rich Cimini of ESPN.com: “Me and Rex have a lot of history and we all know that. Some of those guys are dear to my heart and everything, but like I said, I've got to focus on the things that I am doing here, and I wish Rex the best."
There is apparently a chance he could add to that history with Ryan in Buffalo.
Derrick Morgan

Rand Getlin of Yahoo Sports noted that linebacker Derrick Morgan could be joining an NFC South team soon:
Morgan turned in his most productive season of his career in 2014 with personal-best marks in tackles (63), passes defended (seven) and sacks (6.5). The Atlanta Falcons and Tampa Bay Buccaneers were two of the worst defenses in the league in 2014 and could both use someone like Morgan who appears to just be hitting his stride at age 26.
The Falcons were 32nd against the pass and 21st against the run, while the Bucs were 28th against the pass and 19th against the run.
Morgan is a dynamic linebacker who can make plays against the run or stick with tight ends if necessary against the pass. His presence would help either team improve those numbers, and he only missed two combined games over the past four seasons. That type of durability will help the depth on the defensive side for whichever team signs him.
The fact that it appears to be an intra-division battle makes it all the more intriguing.
