Allen Starting vs. Swansea
Monday, March 16
Liverpool confirmed Allen was starting vs. Swansea.
On March 14, manager Brendan Rodgers said Allen "is back fit," according to James Pearce of the Liverpool Echo.
On March 13, Allen said he was hopeful he will be fit to face his former club when Liverpool head to the Liberty Stadium on Monday, per the Reds' official website:
"It looks likely. I'm obviously disappointed to have missed the cup game at the weekend, but hopefully that's the only game that this injury will cost me.
"
Allen suffered an injury during training and had to be dropped for Liverpool's vital match against Blackburn Rovers, as reported by Pearce on March 8:
The 24-year-old has emerged as one of the club's most consistent performers in the centre of the pitch in the past months.
