Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Ndamukong Suh

Ndamukong Suh is the crown jewel of this year's free-agent class. He's a three-time All-Pro defensive tackle who's almost single-handedly capable of changing a game. Players like that don't regularly hit the open market.
Therefore, it comes as little surprise that teams are lining up to try to sign the 28-year-old.
NFL.com's Michael Silver reported that the Oakland Raiders are looking to make a major splash:
According to Spotrac, the Raiders have more cap space this offseason than all but one team, so they'd be in a great position to potentially pay over the odds for Suh to ensure that he signs. He'd surely have some concerns about whether Oakland can be competitive in 2015, so he might need that extra little bit financially to allay those fears.
CSN Bay Area's Scott Bair went on Bleacher Report's Team Stream Now and revealed that Oakland is seriously targeting Suh and a skilled wide receiver.
Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio reported that the Miami Dolphins might be the team in pole position for Suh nonetheless:
"PFT continues to hear that the team with the best chance of landing Suh is the Dolphins. And for good reason; owner Stephen Ross previously whiffed on coach Jim Harbaugh, quarterback Peyton Manning, and coach Jeff Fisher. Ross wants to make a splash, as does new executive V.P. of football operations Mike Tannenbaum.
"
Florio added that the nature of Florida state tax law could entice Suh to sign with the Dolphins.
"So if Suh signs a deal that pays him $15 million per year in California, the Golden State will withhold $1.995 million in taxes. Per year," he wrote. "In Florida, the Sunshine State will take the grand total of zero dollars and zero cents from Suh’s game checks."
Nobody has the right to tell Suh where he should or shouldn't sign; he should get the best deal possible for him.
From a neutral perspective, it would be nice to see him stay with the Detroit Lions and continue a partnership that has flourished for the last five years.
However, the Dolphins can likely offer him the best deal possible while still giving him a chance to win. Miami is continually on the playoff precipice and finished 2014 with a defense that ranked 17th overall in the league, according to Football Outsiders.
The Dolphins' most recent offseason spending spree didn't quite work out, but adding Suh might make them serious contenders in the AFC East.
Jeremy Maclin

Before the LeSean McCoy trade, you would've bet that Jeremy Maclin would remain with the Philadelphia Eagles for the foreseeable future. Maclin is coming off a career year and proved that the torn ACL that cost him all of 2013 isn't going to be a lingering issue.
But the Eagles dealt McCoy and opted not to slap the franchise tag on Maclin. It looks to be a whole new world for the Philadelphia offense, and head coach Chip Kelly is indelibly putting his stamp on it:
Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer cast doubt on whether the 26-year-old will be back in 2015:
Maclin has remained steadfast in saying his preference is to stay in Philly, but he understands the Eagles' position.
"I've always said I want to be here in Philadelphia, but also I've always said it's a business," he said in February, per Dave Spadaro of PhiladelphiaEagles.com. "But both sides have made it known that we want each other back, so the rest is in God's hands. If it's supposed to happen, it's supposed to happen. I want to be here."
Ultimately, the decision on what to do with Maclin is Kelly's. He's always had the final say on personnel decisions and further consolidated his power back in January.
Most signs point to Maclin hitting the open market, and in the event that he does, some team will be getting a talented wideout. He firmly established himself as a No. 1 target last year, and he's in the prime of his career.
San Francisco 49ers

A team that might do well to target Maclin is the San Francisco 49ers.
Michael Crabtree is a free agent, and it's no secret that the Niners need somebody who can stretch the opposing defense vertically.
Matt Maiocco of CSN Bay Area reported that San Francisco is hoping to re-sign Crabtree, but if he hits the open market, there's no telling for sure whether the 49ers would be the highest bidder.
ESPN.com's Paul Gutierrez wrote that it's likely Crabtree and the team will part ways:
"He already has removed 49ers references from his Twitter bio and is coming off a career-worst season. Niners general manager Trent Baalke referenced the need for speed at receiver at the NFL combine and the wideouts put on a show in Indianapolis. With the No. 15 overall pick, the Niners could find Crabtree's replacement in the draft.
"
If the Niners want a more polished wide receiver, Maclin would be a better option—albeit more expensive—than anybody they could get with the 15th selection. Amari Cooper and Kevin White almost certainly won't fall that far on draft day.
With that said, the team might have a different veteran in mind.
Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reported that the Chicago Bears are willing to trade Brandon Marshall. He added that nothing can be finalized until next Tuesday and that Marshall's $7.5 million base salary will be guaranteed a week from today.
Whatever happens with Marshall, it will likely happen between that window.
Maiocco posited that San Francisco could be a potential destination, writing that the 49ers would probably need to send a mid-round pick to Chicago.
Whether it's signing Maclin, trading for Marshall or drafting a wideout in the first round, Niners fans will want the team to do something to address the wide receiver position in the coming weeks.
