Jones to Sign 2-Year Deal With Chargers

Friday, March 6

ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that Jones will sign a deal with the Chargers.

On March 4 Michael Gehlkin of U-T San Diego reported that Jones was set to meet with the San Diego Chargers on Thursday, and it's clear that the meeting went well.

Jones Meeting with Cincinnati Bengals, Tennessee Titans

Monday, March 2

Jones may find that the best way to get back at the Ravens after they cut him is by signing with the team's divisional rival, the Cincinnati Bengals.

Geoff Hobson of the Bengals' official website has more:

Jones will reportedly continue his visits after Cincinnati, however, per Aaron Wilson of The Baltimore Sun:

Jones is coming off of a rough year for the Ravens. He caught just nine passes for 131 yards, failing to score a touchdown, and he also muffed two punts, per Jamison Hensley of ESPN. He did return a kick for a touchdown, however, and he was second in the NFL in yards per kick return (30.6).

Interestingly enough, the leader in yards per kick return last season was Cincinnati's Adam Jones (31.3), so the Bengals may surprise some folks as a suitor for his services.

Regardless, despite a tough year last season, the 30-year-old is still an excellent return man, so he'll surely find a team interested in bringing him aboard. Had Baltimore not needed to clear cap space, he probably would have remained with the team in the first place.

But Jones likely won't be on the market for long.
