Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The Eagles selected Herremans in the fourth round of the 2005 draft, and he proceeded to appear in 127 games over 10 seasons.
His 2014 season ended abruptly due to a biceps injury that landed him on injured reserve in November. Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer provided comments from the 32-year-old veteran at the time, and he admitted the future was uncertain: "I think [winning] is going to be a reoccurring theme here just because of the culture. I'd like to be [back]. I'm still under contract for two years so we'll see what happens."
Ultimately, the Eagles decided to go in another direction. While it's just a single move, it probably marks the start of a line overhaul coming over the next few years. The team has an aging group up front that will need an infusion of youth in the near future.
Herremans played well enough when healthy last season to warrant getting an opportunity elsewhere. He'll probably be restricted to a short-term deal given his age, though.
