Ginn Reportedly Will Return to Panthers

Monday, March 9

Joseph Person of The Charlotte Observer, citing a league source, reported Ginn is expected to rejoin the Carolina Panthers, noting, "The length of the contract and the terms of the deal are unknown, and attempts to reach Ginn and his representatives were unsuccessful."

On Feb. 25, Person first reported the Panthers were mulling the possibility of reuniting with Ginn after watching him walk as a free agent in 2013. One of the best years Ginn had as a wideout came in 2013 with the Panthers, as he and quarterback Cam Newton connected on 36 passes for 556 yards and five touchdowns—a career-high total for Ginn in the latter category.

Ginn Receiving Interest from Multiple Teams

Tuesday, March 3

On March 3, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that Ginn concluded an interview with the Tennessee Titans before heading for a visit with the San Francisco 49ers.

On Feb. 25, Cleveland.com's Mary Kay Cabot reported Ginn could return to his native Cleveland as the Browns expressed interest.

Ginn is a former top-10 draft pick who hasn't quite panned out as a receiver. At least during this last year, a crowded receiving corps in Arizona limited his opportunities on offense.

Ginn figures to remain a special teams star moving forward, as he's returned four punts and three kickoffs for touchdowns in his eight years as a pro. With that type of game-changing ability, it's no surprise that there are many prospective Ginn suitors this offseason.
