Pujols Returns to Lineup

Saturday, May 2

Pujols is back in the Angels lineup after recovering from his hamstring injury, hitting third as they take on the San Francisco Giants, according to Alden Gonzalez of MLB.com.

Pujols originally suffered the injury on April 29, when the Angels confirmed that he exited the game with hamstring tightness.

Pujols was 1-for-3 before exiting.

Even though age has caught up to him in his three-plus years with the Angels, he's still been a productive player when healthy. In 2012, the former MVP hit 30 home runs with a .516 slugging percentage.

Pujols was limited to 99 games in 2013, but he came back strong with 28 home runs and a .466 slugging percentage to help the Angels make the playoffs in 2014.

As long as the Angels have Mike Trout, they are going to be worth watching. It's everyone around him in the lineup, including and especially Pujols, who will determine how far the team is able to go.
