Miles Expected to Re-Sign With Ravens
Monday, Feb. 23
Aaron Wilson of The Baltimore Sun reported Miles is "expected" to re-sign with Baltimore once the free-agency period begins in March. Miles, 27, has been with the Ravens since 2013. A longtime special teams maven, injuries across the Ravens secondary gave Miles an opportunity to prove himself at safety.
He responded by matching his career high in tackles (28) and intercepting his first career pass. The former undrafted free agent spent his first four seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals, starting as a practice squad member before playing his way onto the 53-man roster.
Miles' playing time in Baltimore especially increased toward the end of last season, as he recorded at least a tackle in the Ravens' last seven games (playoffs included). It's expected he would enter camp with an opportunity to continue in a similar role next season.
Wilson's report did not offer any expected terms of a new agreement.
