Watch Marcus Mariota and Jameis Winston Run the 40-Yard Dash at the Same Time

Former Oregon Ducks quarterback Marcus Mariota has been known for his speed, and he got to show that attribute off this weekend at the NFL Scouting Combine.

Mariota ran the 40-yard dash in 4.52 seconds, the fastest time for a presumptive first-round quarterback since Robert Griffin III in 2012. Meanwhile, Jameis Winston finished the 40-yard dash in 4.97 seconds, the slowest time for any presumptive first-round signal-caller since 2010.

Less than half a second might not sound like a lot, but the video above of the two quarterbacks running at the same time helps put Mariota's speed in perspective.

Mariota might have the edge in speed against Winston, but plenty of other factors will be in play to determine which quarterback gets selected first in the 2015 NFL draft.
