Another topic of conversation regarding Winston has been his fitness level. The elite prospect made light of the situation and let the media know that he is in top physical condition, according to Sports Illustrated:
Winston said all the right things, which is something that NFL front office people look for, but he is far from done proving himself.
He must put on a strong performance at the combine to maintain his assumed lead over Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota in the race to become the top pick, but he must also show that he is a changed man off the field.
If Winston is able to do that, then he could very well hear his name called first on April 30.
