Liverpool Legend Jamie Carragher Temporarily Becomes a Manchester United Fan
Many Liverpool fans took great delight when fierce rivals Manchester United fell behind 1-0 to Preston North End in the FA Cup on Monday.
However, Jamie Carragher, the Liverpool legend now working as a pundit for Sky Sports, was not one of them—for a spell at least.
He admitted that he was cheering on United, although only because he was thinking of Liverpool's best interests.

That is because the winners of the United-Preston clash were drawn to face Arsenal in the quarter-finals of the Cup.
Carragher sees the Gunners as Liverpool's main rivals for the Cup and wants United to hopefully knock them out in the quarter-finals.
Carragher documented his temporary United fandom on his Twitter page:
"Lfc fans maybe celebrating the score at the moment, I actually think it would be better for Lfc if Man Utd win. Arsenal in form big danger!

"Get in Herrera!!!!!!

However, it didn't last long:
"Watching Rooney & all celebrating has made me change my mind I still wish it was 1-0!
— Jamie Carragher (@Carra23) February 16, 2015"
Old habits die hard.
