Dikembe Mutombo and Bill Clinton Meet Courtside at All-Star Game

Dan CarsonFeb 16, 2015

Dikembe Mutombo and Bill Clinton came together at Madison Square Garden on Sunday night for an impromptu summit of America’s foremost national treasures.

The two ‘90s fixtures appeared to hit it off famously at the NBA All-Star Game, ostensibly reminiscing on Crazy Bones and the golden age of the side ponytail. Mutombo noticed cameras zero in on their conversation and gave fans a finger wag for the road.

Deadspin’s Timothy Burke crafted a GIF of the moment, which should be preserved in a time capsule for posterity’s sake.

But all relationships must endure tests, and it wasn’t long before the 42nd president of the United States tweeted out a message letting his fellow Georgetown alum know he needed to stop blocking the court with his gigantic body.

It’s unclear what Clinton wished to see at this moment. The game appears to be over or stopped for a timeout/halftime. Anyway, sometimes Mutombo gets the maple syrup in him and gets a little antsy. He means well, though.

Dan is on Twitter. He loves the Mutombo.
