Modern-Day Dream Matches 💭

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
| Rusev (c) vs. John Cena | Singles Match for the WWE United States Championship |
| Nikki Bella (c) (with Brie Bella) vs. Paige | Singles Match for the WWE Divas Championship |
| Roman Reigns vs. Daniel Bryan | Singles Match to determine the No. 1 Contender for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania |
Brock Lesnar Impacts the No. 1 Contenders Match
The most important match on this card is the battle between Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan for the right to advance to WrestleMania 31 and square off against Brock Lesnar for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
While letting Reigns and Bryan fight it out at Fastlane with one clear winner would be a booking possibility, Lesnar has entirely too much on the line not to have a vested interest in the outcome of the match.
Just like the UFC and other mixed martial arts promotions do today, WWE should extend an invitation to the champion to sit ringside during the main event. With both Reigns and Bryan allowing the champion to distract them at different points in the match, having Lesnar in attendance would be an easy way to tell an interesting story.
Whether Reigns is going to win clean, Bryan is going to steal the victory or Lesnar jumps the railing and beats both men down, making it a Triple Threat at WrestleMania, the WWE Universe will be on the edge of its collective seat waiting to see what the champion does.
Paul Heyman will undoubtedly be by The Beast’s side in the front row. When both Reigns and Bryan are utterly tired and the match is drawing to a close, Lesnar should jump the railing, hit his finisher, the F-5, on both challengers and set the tone for the Road to WrestleMania.
The Undertaker Makes His Return
Over the last several weeks, Bray Wyatt has done his best to antagonize an unnamed Superstar. The educated guess from most is that he is addressing The Undertaker, and it’s time for The Deadman to answer the 27-year-old’s call at Fastlane.
The Undertaker has not been seen or heard from since WrestleMania 30 when he lost to Lesnar, and many members of the WWE Universe are still unsure if he will be ready to come back this year or not.
Unless Wyatt is secretly calling out Kane, Undertaker’s return will happen at Fastlane or the Raw following the event. While his appearance would usually be saved for Raw in the past, the fact that the company is giving Fastlane away for free on the WWE Network could be a sign that he will return at the PPV.
Wyatt doesn’t have a matchup currently set for the show, but he could easily be given a few minutes to come out and cut a live promo in front of the crowd. As he is running down The Undertaker, the lights could go out, and The Deadman’s music hits.
The Undertaker doesn’t even have to come out. Since Wyatt is playing mind games with the legend, there is no better way for The Deadman to answer his challenge than by playing mind games of his own.
Whether you like Wyatt or not, the battle between the two supernatural wrestlers will be unforgettable.
Brie Bella Turns on Nikki
Since SummerSlam, Brie Bella and Nikki Bella have been involved in one of the strangest and least conventional storylines in recent memory. Brie was double-crossed by Nikki and went on to lose a match against her sister at Hell in a Cell.
Brie was forced to be Nikki’s personal assistant for thirty days. During that stretch, Nikki won the Divas Championship and treated her sister like trash. Instead of retaliating and getting her revenge, Brie simply turned heel and joined forces with her sister.
At Fastlane, Brie must get her revenge.
Wrestling fans remember Brie’s husband Daniel Bryan being forced to join The Wyatt Family last year, but he was just going along for the ride to trick Wyatt and his brothers. The hope is that Brie reveals Sunday that the last several months have been a ruse to get back at Nikki.
With Nikki shocked that her sister would turn on her, Brie would be able to get the upper hand and lay the groundwork for a feud that would lead to WrestleMania. With the belt on the line, WrestleMania would have a marquee secondary match between Nikki and Brie for the Divas Championship.
