NBA Celebrity All-Star Game 2015: Final Score, Highlights and Comments
Michael Jordan doesn't have four All-Star Game MVPs. LeBron James doesn't have four All-Star Game MVPs. In fact, most NBA legends who have ever laced it up don’t have four All-Star Game MVPs.
Comedian and actor Kevin Hart does.
All right, so winning MVP at the Celebrity All-Star Game, thanks to fan voting, may not be the same as taking home the award during the actual NBA All-Star Game, especially since Hart’s East team lost Friday by the score of 59-51. Still, there is something to be said about taking the award home in four consecutive years.

Despite Hart’s trophy, it was the opposing West team that controlled the majority of the game, thanks largely to the combination of the WNBA’s Skylar Diggins and Memphis Grizzlies owner Robert Pera. Both scored 13 points apiece and worked in an impressive two-man game when the contest was on the line.
They got some help from Arcade Fire’s Win Butler, Hall of Famer Chris Mullin and actor Jesse Williams, who all scored eight points each.
The West did have a 32-24 halftime lead and appeared to be in control in the second half, but the East cut the lead to two points down the stretch thanks to some formidable play from the WNBA’s Shoni Schimmel, who finished with 17 points. To his credit, Hart helped Schimmel out with 15 points of his own.

The West’s Ansel Elgort (actor) discussed his team’s strategy in the wake of the victory, via Lang Whitaker of NBA.com: "We definitely turned it up in the second half. Skylar (Diggins) played really well for us. You know, give the ball to the professional athlete and get out of the way."
It's hard to argue with that game plan.
Here is a look at the highlights from the contest:
The most memorable moment of the evening did involve Hart, but it probably wasn't for the reason the comedian was hoping. Little League World Series sensation Mo’ne Davis put Hart on skates with a silky-smooth spin move on the way to the basket, which caused the loudest cheers of the night from the Madison Square Garden crowd.
It also led to both benches celebrating and earned her some props from SportsCenter:
Peter Bukowski of Sports Illustrated praised Davis, while Sean Highkin of Bleacher Report took a humorous approach to the play:
Davis herself remarked on the spin move and her entire experience, according to The Associated Press, via ESPN.com: "That was pretty cool. I work on it but usually don't do it. It was the right time to do it. It was a lot of fun; a lot of people never saw me play basketball. To play in the Celebrity All-Star game was pretty cool."
While Davis had the best individual play and Hart took home the MVP, Grizzlies owner Pera turned some heads with his impressive game. Ethan Sherwood Strauss of ESPN.com handed out grades for the contest and was very complimentary of Mr. Pera:
"Robert Pera | Grade: A
We were primed to laugh at the Grizzlies' owner, since he's famously confident in his basketball skill. He's good, though. Maybe not besting Tony Allen in one-on-one level good, but good enough to be the real MVP of this game. Fantastic energy, nice handle, explosive to the rim. He might get drunk on power from this, fire his whole team and go 1-on-5 against all Memphis' opponents.
"
Still, it was Hart who made the headlines with his amusing commentary the whole game and ability to earn the fans’ votes. As the NBA passed along, Hart said at the end of the game that he may be going out on top:
The question now is whether he will stick to his word or make a comeback in an effort to win an unprecedented fifth Celebrity All-Star Game MVP award.

That has never been done before, and there is something to be said about chasing history. Some of the all-time greats had trouble walking away from the game—see Jordan in a Washington Wizards jersey—and it will be up to Hart to ultimately determine where his head and heart are come February 2016.
The fans will surely be waiting with bated breath.
