Leighton Baines Injury: Updates on Everton Star's Quad and Return
Roberto Martinez will be without the influential Leighton Baines after the left-back picked up a quad injury in training leading up to Everton's eventual 2-0 loss to Arsenal.
Martinez provided confirmation of the Englishman's problem following the defeat, via Neil Jones of the Liverpool Echo:
"We tried to give Leighton a breather against Young Boys, so he could be fully fit for today. But unfortunately he picked up a knock on Friday and was out of the squad.
I don't know if he is going to be available for Wednesday, I doubt it. I just hope he can be available for the Dynamo Kiev game (on March 12).
It's not a big problem, just a knock on his left quad.

Baines has struggled with hamstring and knee concerns this season, a factor which hasn't helped Everton during a disappointing campaign. Martinez's men are currently 14th in the Premier League and look a shadow of the side that finished fifth during the Spaniard's debut year in charge.

The Goodison Park faithful will hope Baines makes a speedy recovery. He is a constant attacking threat deep, not to mention a top-quality defender. Baines' set-piece delivery remains up there with anyone in the division, so his output is missed on many levels.
Everton will likely turn to Luke Garbutt in his absence, who manned the position against Arsenal. Bryan Oviedo is also an option for the club.
