WWE NXT TakeOver 4: Full Preview, Rumors and More for 'Rival'
Welcome to Bleacher Report's preview for this week's NXT TakeOver: Rival special on the WWE Network. Unlike most weeks, there are no spoilers because the show will be airing live, so anything can happen.
This will be the fifth live special since WWE rebranded NXT as its developmental system. Every single one of these shows has exceeded expectations, and judging from the card we have in front of us, this could be the best one yet.
Six matches are scheduled to take place on Wednesday, with half of them being for titles and one being for a future shot at the NXT Championship.

Let's take a look at what Rival has in store for us.
The Women
Charlotte will be defending the NXT Women's Championship against three future Divas she has become very familiar with over the past few months.
Bayley, Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch will all be competing against the daughter of The Nature Boy in what is sure to be an outstanding match.
Lynch is still relatively new to the scene, but she has already proved herself to be a valuable talent. When it comes to Bayley and Banks, you would have to be blind not to see their potential for greatness.
The X-factor here is going to be the alliance between Banks and Lynch. Charlotte and Bayley have been reluctant allies in the past, but they have nowhere near the kind of relationship as the other two challengers.
Charlotte has had an incredible run as champion, fending off every challenger and consistently showing up the Divas on the main roster while doing it. For nine months, nobody has been able to touch her.
While her time with the belt has been good for the division as a whole, it seems like the right time to let someone else carry the torch.
If one of the other women walks out with the title, they will have some big shoes to fill. If Charlotte does lose, it could mean a move to the main roster is in order. It seems like every time a champion loses their championship in NXT, they get brought up soon after.
The Divas division needs some new blood, and Charlotte has the talent to make everyone around her rise to her level. Basically, her losing the title will probably lead to bigger and better things for everyone.
The Tag Teams
Wesley Blake and Buddy Murphy shocked a lot of people when they defeated The Lucha Dragons to become the new NXT tag team champions.
They have always been solid performers, but up until recently, they were mostly used to get other teams over such as The Ascension and The Vaudevillains.
With Sin Cara getting a lot more time on the main roster lately, losing the tag titles could be a sign that Kalisto will be joining him very soon.
Murphy and Blake need this win to solidify themselves as champions. They are talented performers, but the crowd needs to see them win decisively.
The Men
There are four singles bouts scheduled for Rival, and each one of them will appeal to different fans for different reasons.
The only one with a real stipulation will see Baron Corbin go to war with Bull Dempsey in a No Disqualification match.
These two powerhouses have been trying to take each other out for several weeks, with Corbin being the one who has been the most successful in their past meetings.
Neither one of these men has been looked at as a potential top star in the developmental system, but one good performance could change all that. With no rules to hold them back, we should see a very physical encounter.
The only other bout that won't have any impact on a title will see Hideo Itami take on Prince Pretty himself, Tyler Breeze.
Breeze has been taking a back seat lately, so it will be great to see him get back to wrestling matches against talents who are on his level.
Itami has been very successful since arriving in NXT, but he fell short against Finn Balor last week in the No. 1 contender tournament. This is his chance for redemption.
Both Breeze and Itami are versatile wrestlers who can adapt to just about any style. Since neither one of them has a chance at being the next challenger for the NXT title, it doesn't really matter who wins. All that matters is that they put on a great show for the fans, and they will definitely rise to the occasion.
Two men who do have a chance at winning a title shot are Adrian Neville and Finn Balor. This will be the final round of the tournament that has been taking place over the past few weeks, and it should be a doozy.
Balor and Neville have faced each other outside of WWE, but this will be the first time most fans will see these two incredible wrestlers go one-on-one.
Neville may have a slight power advantage, but when you break it down to nuts and bolts, they are very similar. Both of them can wrestle on the mat, slug it out and fly through the air with the best.
Either one of them would be a great challenger for Sami Zayn or Kevin Owens, which makes this one of the hardest matches to predict on the card.
Speaking of Zayn and Owens, they will face off in the main event for the NXT Championship, but this will be about more than just a title.
They were best friends before Owens ruined Zayn's celebration after winning the title from Neville at R Evolution. Owens has made his intentions very clear in the months since that heartbreaking moment: He wants to be champion.
Zayn has only been champion a few months, but it wouldn't be out of the question for Owens to take the title from him. Regardless of who wins, this should be the most entertaining match of the night.
TakeOver: Rival looks like it will continue the trend of incredible live shows from the developmental brand. What are you looking forward to seeing the most when the future Superstars of WWE go to battle on Wednesday?
