Quentin Richardson Dealt To Miami For Mark Blount?
In a trade of question marks, the Timberwovles have dealt away Quentin Richardson in exchange for Marc Blount, a former Minnesota Timberwolf.
This is the part where I tell you how smart this move is right?
But for the first time, I am absolutely not sure as to how to grade this trade.
The Possibilities
The only scenario I think that could actually happen, would be similar to the trade of the 18th pick in the '09 Draft.
I think that David Kahn is taking Blount to trade him to another team right away. I just don't know who would want him, other than a team like Houston.
It's either that, or that Mark Blount was taken in order to create more cap space for 2010 extravaganza
Both players have expiring salaries, but the Wolves will save nearly $1.4 million by waiving Blount and his $7.96 million contract rather than dump Richardson’s $9.35 million contract.
More than likely, Marc Blount will be waived before the start of training camp.
Let's be real, David Kahn is about the young players, and Q-rich is not young. He was not going to see any time, not behind Brewer and Ellington.
I could be wrong...I've been wrong about worse.
