Hinrich Leaves Game vs. Pelicans With Toe Injury
Saturday, Feb. 7
Jimmy Smith of The Times-Picayune in New Orleans reported that Bulls shooting guard Kirk Hinrich left the game against the New Orleans Pelicans with turf toe:
Hinrich has incurred the wrath of a large segment of Bulls fans, who continue to wonder why he plays a little over 27 minutes a night. Entering Saturday, Hinrich's 6.6 points per game were tied for the lowest in his career, and he was shooting a rather pedestrian 36.5 percent from the field.
According to Basketball-Reference.com, his PER was 7.1. ESPNChicago.com's Nick Friedell put into perspective just how bad that is:
Thibodeau is well-known for relying heavily on a small handful of players, of which Hinrich is a part.
