Deng Misses Spurs Game With Knee Injury
Thursday, April 2
The Heat reported Deng did not play vs. the Spurs on Tuesday.
The 29-year-old veteran suffered a left knee contusion March 29 against the Detroit Pistons and did not return, per the team's official Twitter account.
After the Heat's 109-102 win, Tim Reynolds of The Associated Press provided an update:
As expected, life after LeBron James has been a bit rocky in Miami. Deng was signed in hopes of at least replacing a fraction of James' production, and while he has done that, the Heat haven't meshed as well as the front office had expected.
Deng has bounced back from ailments more often than not over the course of his career, and the Heat certainly need him to continue that trend.
