Why WWE Superstars Is Not A Waste Of Time!
As we all know, the WWE wants to take over the entertainment industry. This is why they now have 4 shows on 4 different nights every week and 5 nights when there is a PPV. When we saw ECW come out, I think most of us rejoiced. Of course, ECW went through a bad period for a while, but they have since picked up.
Now, we see the new show on Thursdays called, "WWE Superstars." It is the only show where all brands are welcome. It is usually filmed after RAW on Monday nights, and they usually have some good main events.
What I like most about it is the fact you can see SmackDown vs. ECW, SmackDown vs. RAW, or any variation you may want. I hated the fact that you previously had to wait until the PPVs to see any of the Superstars no matter what show, at the event.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
I do want to see more Brand vs Brand stuff, which I think makes this show great and unique. If they do more of that, we can see a show that continues to get good ratings. Right now, it is not making a massive impact, but it can if the booking picks up.
They have given us some matches that many want to see, but would probably never get to on a RAW, ECW, or SmackDown.
Take the Randy Orton vs Primo Colon match for instance.
Orton is a main event competitor on RAW, and Primo is at best a low mid-carder there. Primo won't be getting into any storylines with Orton right now, and he is relatively new to the WWE. In fact, he is currently a rookie.
This adds nothing to Orton's resume, as he usually faces the Cena's, Batista's, or Triple H's of the WWE. Yet we do get to see something that many take for granted.
We get to see how well a new guy can look against an established veteran.
To me, WWE Superstars may let you see into the future. Say Primo becomes a massive star in the WWE, he is Cena like. This match with Orton gives us a taste of what his potential is.
We won't see it on RAW because RAW apparently wants Orton to be focused on storylines. They seem to want Primo to stay on his side of the locker room taking on the soon to be releases of the WWE.
Didn't he face The Brian Kendrick a little while back?
We also got to see the debut of Tyler Reks on Superstars. While he is now a member of the ECW Brand, he made an impressive debut on WWE Superstars first.
He could be a big star in the WWE from what I have seen. I do think he needs to get a better finisher though. Seriously, a missile drop kick is not going to realistically beat John Cena, Triple H, Edge, or The Undertaker.
WWE Superstars may just be another show to some, but it is actually a good show to watch because it gives us some great match-ups we wouldn't normally see.
Now, let's get down to business.
I have managed to partner up with WGN America. They want to have a giveaway here on B/R! They let me be the head of it here, and even let me choose the winners.
WGN America is going to give out a WWE Prize for the three people who can correctly answer the trivia question about WWE Superstars I give out. Now, this question may not be easy. You have to watch WWE Superstars to know it.
It's not going to be who wins or loses, you can look at spoilers for that. Don't think that we're stupid.
I will ask the question Friday, and you will have 48 Hours to correctly answer it. You have to give the correct answer and your e-mail address. I'll remind you of the rules Friday to make sure everything is clear.
But remember, watch WWE Superstars this Thursday on WGN America at 8/7c! You may just have a cool WWE Prize if you do.
