Jameis Winston, QB, Florida State Seminoles

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have the No. 1 overall pick in the 2015 NFL draft and desperately need a quarterback. The best option on the field for the team would be Florida State’s Jameis Winston, but several bad decisions during his college career have haunted the prospect.

According to Bill Pennington of The New York Times, Tampa Bay has hired a sexual violence task force to help evaluate Winston’s character and help ensure he is the correct player for the franchise at No. 1.

While some are not giving Winston a chance to show he has matured, former Buccaneers great Derrick Brooks is much more optimistic, via Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times:

"

I believe he will show them his work ethic behind the scenes, as well as his knowledge of the game and the feel of the game. I know it's best to keep all the options open until the draft clock says zero. But I do hope he impresses them enough to pick him.

"

It can’t be ignored that Winston went 26-1 during his college career and helped Florida State win the national championship in 2013. While his numbers dipped this season, his off-field issues likely provided an unneeded distraction.

If Winston shows head coach Lovie Smith and the entire organization that he is serious about being the best quarterback possible and the immaturity issues are a thing of the past, there is no doubt he has the talent to be the top pick in the draft.

Predicting Landing Spot: Tampa Bay Buccaneers at No. 1 overall

Marcus Mariota, QB, Oregon Ducks

One of the biggest names in the draft is Heisman Trophy winner and Oregon Ducks quarterback Marcus Mariota. While he is unlikely to slip out of the top five, there is a feeling he could slip past the first two picks.

If Mariota slips past No. 2 overall, the Philadelphia Eagles should be looking to trade up to acquire him, and that’s exactly what Mark Eckel of NJ.com is reporting the franchise is considering.

When asked about the possibility of Philadelphia and head coach Chip Kelly landing his former quarterback Mariota, an unnamed AFC scout told NFL.com:

"

All these teams high in the draft are all going to see the same things on tape with Mariota, and I'll bet he starts to fall on draft day. Once that happens, (Philadelphia Eagles coach) Chip (Kelly) will mortgage the future to go get him. If he misses on him, (Kelly) can just bolt back to college.

"

Current Eagles starting quarterback Nick Foles proved through his first two seasons as a starter that he has plenty of talent and upside, but Kelly knows better than anyone else what Mariota is capable of on the field.

In his junior season, Mariota racked up 4,454 yards, 42 touchdowns and four interceptions passing, and added another 770 yards and 15 touchdowns running the ball. There may be questions about how he will transition to the NFL, but Kelly understands the player and his system.

Regardless of where exactly he is selected, Mariota will be an early first-round selection and Philadelphia will be actively trying to move up to add him to the Eagles roster.

Predicting Landing Spot: Philadelphia Eagles at No. 5 overall
