Calvin Johnson Rumors: Latest Buzz and Speculation on Star's Status with Lions
The Detroit Lions will reportedly make retaining defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh a top priority this season, and they may be willing to part with another top star in order to make it happen.
According to ESPN.com's Chris Mortensen, the Lions are favored to sign Suh despite the fact that he is set to become an unrestricted free agent. Due to the lofty contract that he will command, though, that could conceivably lead to Detroit having to move on from All-Pro wide receiver Calvin Johnson.
The organization may be willing to do that in a worst-case scenario, but Mortensen reports that the source believes the Lions can find a way to keep both players.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Megatron is set to make an annual salary of over $16 million through 2020, per Spotrac.com. With that said, Johnson has expressed a willingness to help keep Suh by any means necessary, according to Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press:
Perhaps that could lead to Johnson restructuring his contract in some way, which is something many of the NFL's top stars have done for the betterment of their teams as a whole.
Johnson is undoubtedly great, as he is coming off a 1,000-yard, eight-touchdown season despite missing three games and being limited in others due to injury. At the same time, Detroit's defensive dominance is what helped it reach the next level and make the playoffs in 2014.
Losing Suh would set the Lions back in a major way, and while the organization realizes that moving on from another great player could be a consequence of keeping Suh, it is hopeful that it won't have to take such drastic measures.
