Katy Perry Super Bowl Halftime Show 2015 Prop Odds and Predictions
When Katy Perry takes the stage to perform during halftime of Super Bowl XLIX, there is no doubt that much of the viewing audience will be captivated, but some will be paying attention to detail a bit more than others.
That is due to the fact that several prop bets are available in relation to Perry's show. That means bettors can make or lose money based on what Perry does or doesn't do. This has become commonplace at the Super Bowl in recent years, and it is now essentially a game within the game.
Wagers can be placed on everything from Perry's hair color to her set list, so while Perry's performance will be entertaining in its own right, the prop bets will add another level of intrigue.

Katy Perry Prop Odds
Opening Song
| "Firework" | 3-2 |
| "Roar" | 3-2 |
| "This Is How We Do" | 5-1 |
| "Dark Horse" | 12-1 |
| "E.T." | 12-1 |
| "Wide Awake" | 12-1 |
| "Waking Up in Vegas" | 20-1 |
One of the biggest factors that makes Perry such a desirable halftime performer is the fact that she has so many well-known songs at her disposal. At the same time, that makes things difficult for bettors who are attempting to predict what her set list will look like.
Her opening song is of particular interest, as bettors can wager on what tune she'll lead off with. Perry hasn't let the cat out of the bag, but she did admit that hits "Roar" and "Firework" will be part of her performance, according to The Associated Press (h/t CBC).
Not surprisingly, those two songs have been tabbed as co-favorites at 3-2. Perry certainly has other options at her disposal, but "Roar" and "Firework" are two of her most recent and recognizable songs.
Per Katie Hind of The Mirror, Perry revealed that her performance will feature some elaborate surroundings, including animals.
"I think I'm the only person to ever do a halftime show who brings a lion and sharks to the show," Perry said. "It's going to be wild out there. I'm creating three or four different worlds."
That could be a hint that "Roar" is the first song of choice due to the fact that the music video for that particular song utilizes animals.
Everything is mere speculation at this point, since only Perry and those with intimate knowledge of the show are aware of the set list. With that said, there are enough clues in place to have some level of confidence in betting on "Roar."
Wardrobe
| Skirt or Dress | 4-5 |
| Pants (Below Knees) | 2-1 |
| Shorts (Above Knees) | 2-1 |
To say that Perry has a unique sense of style is a severe understatement, and that promises to make the wardrobe prop bet one of the most unpredictable wagers on the board.
Perry has donned so many outrageous outfits over the years that it would be nearly impossible for her to shock the viewing audience. The betting-line favorite at this point is for the 30-year-old singer-songwriter to kick off the performance in a dress or skirt, but pants or shorts seem just as feasible.
For those looking to pick up some kind of advantage, though, consider what Perry was decked out in for her Super Bowl XLIX media appearance Thursday.
As seen in this photo, courtesy of NFL Network, she wore a football-inspired dress:
In addition to that, Perry tweeted out a photo of a Super Bowl XLIX sweater dress that she designed herself:
Perry has never been one to wear the same thing twice, but it is clear that she has favored dresses with a football decor during the lead-up to the Super Bowl.
Because of that, the smart money is definitely on Perry to be wearing either a dress or skirt when her stirring halftime show begins.
Hair Color
| Black or Brown | 2-1 |
| Pink or Red | 3-1 |
| Blue or Green | 3-1 |
| Blonde | 4-1 |
| Purple | 5-1 |
Perry's hair color seemingly changes as often as day turns to night, so bettors have another quandary on their hands when it comes to predicting what her hair will look like during the Super Bowl halftime show.
Interestingly enough, she is a natural blonde, but that is probably the least viable hair color option for the Super Bowl since she has long died it black.
Black or brown is the favorite for good reason, since Perry sported her familiar raven-colored hair during her media appearance Thursday, as seen in this photo, courtesy of the NFL Network's Aditi Kinkhabwala:
A lot can happen over the course of a few days, though, which means the color of Perry's locks is no lock at all. As recently as one week ago, her hair was black with purple tinting, as evidenced by this photo from her Instagram account:
Literally no color is off limits for Perry, but black is undoubtedly the safest bet on the board, so conventional wisdom suggests it should be the pick.
For bettors who are feeling adventurous, though, purple isn't a bad risk to take at 5-1 considering what her hair looked like a week ago.
