Chelsea have announced the signing of Juan Cuadrado from Fiorentina.

According to ChelseaFC.com, Cuadrado has signed a four-and-a-half-year contract. He is quoted as saying:

"

I am very happy and thankful for this opportunity I’ve been given.  This is a great club and honestly it is like a dream to join the Chelsea family and to know that the manager believes in me. I’m happy.

"

Cuadrado, 26, has won 37 international caps with Colombia. The attacking midfielder is comfortable playing behind the striker or on either wing.

Schurrle departure official?

5:15 p.m.

Widespread reports indicate Andre Schurrle's move to Wolfsburg is done.

Here is a sampling of the reports floating around on Twitter:

Chelsea already planning ahead?

1:30 p.m.

We are still waiting for official word on Cuadrado, Schurrle and Salah (although the latter appears to have now completed his medical), but in the meantime it appears Chelsea could already be plotting for the future.

We believe (okay, based solely on our Football Manager experience) that it is actually Malcom, but it would certainly be an intriguing move if Chelsea wrapped up a deal for the youngster.

Salah undergoing Fiorentina medical—in London

12 p.m.

We're still waiting for formal confirmation on the Schurrle deal, or indeed the Cuadrado deal, and it looks like we might just have to wait a little while longer for notification of the Mohamed Salah deal too. The winger is apparently still undergoing a medical in London, supervised by a Fiorentina doctor, and is still to be given permission to fly to Italy and seal his move.

Elsewhere, it seems like Wolfsburg might still be haggling over the fee for Schurrle. Is this a hitch?! Remember, the window shuts in Germany at 5 p.m...

Wolfsburg closer to confirming Schurrle

11:30 a.m.

Wolfsburg have confirmed to the German FA that they are very close to signing Schurrle (as they have to do), which means official confirmation could come within minutes.

Then, finally, we might get a Cuadrado announcement.

Schurrle announcement scheduled

10:30 a.m.

It seems Wolfsburg have announced a press conference for 11:30 a.m. GMT, which one would presume is to confirm a deal concluded for Andre Schurrle. You would also presume that would then open up the Blues to formally announce the Cuadrado deal.

Schurrle arrives at Wolfsburg training ground, Cuadrado deal nears

9:30 a.m.

Andre Schurrle has arrived, along with his father, at Wolfsburg to complete his move from Chelsea (one would presume—it is an add time to take a stadium tour).

Meanwhile, Chelsea are getting ever closer to concluding their deal to bring Juan Cuadrado from Fiorentina.

"Chelsea agreed to pay the 5% "solidarity clause" due to the team where Cuadrado developed, that was the last hurdle in the deal," well connected Italian journalist Gianluca di Marzio reports.

The Daily Mail claim that Cuadrado's transfer could be confirmed as soon as this morning, so stay tuned for official word.
