Super Bowl Commercials 2015: Final Expectations for Top Ads, Movie Trailers
More than 112 million people tuned in to watch last year’s Super Bowl, which is music to the ears of advertisers.
After all, no other television broadcast features more viewers and more postgame discussion about the actual commercials than the Super Bowl, and this year’s clash between the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks promises to be no different.
Some of the drama surrounding this season’s ads is gone because of early releases and teasers, but fans should expect a couple of surprises and memorable commercials again this year. With that in mind, here is a look at some of the information for both the commercials and the movie trailers that will be on display during the Super Bowl.

Susanna Kim of ABC News compiled a list of a number of early release Super Bowl commercials as well as teasers that set the stage for what is to come during the breaks of the big game Sunday.
Incredibly, a 30-second advertisement sold for $4.5 million for this year’s clash between the Patriots and Seahawks, but again, more than 112 million viewers tuned in to watch last year’s Super Bowl. Nowhere will advertisers be able to expose their brands to more people than the final NFL game of the season.
According to Kim, fans can expect commercials from about 15 companies that have never before advertised during the Super Bowl, which is the most since the year 2000. What’s more, they can expect some fan-friendly commercials from Doritos, Pepsi and Carnival Cruise, considering they had the public vote on a number of ads.

The winners will air during the Super Bowl, so there will likely be some humor involved in the ads that appealed to the masses.
Eric Fulwiler, the account director at the Boston ad agency Mullen, discussed some of the broader themes viewers can look forward to in the commercials, via Marie Szaniszlo of the Boston Herald:
"Comedy has always been a staple of Super Bowl ads, but we’ve seen a rise in more emotional ads, like the Budweiser puppy… One of the interesting trends is most brands are trying to create a broader digital experience. It’s not just about what you do on TV for those 30 seconds. It’s about the buzz you get on social media.
"
Here is a look at some of those ads and teasers that have already been released. As you can see, there is certainly some comedy involved:
Movie Trailers

Companies looking to advertise their products are not the only ones trying to take advantage of the ridiculously large viewing audience that tunes in to watch the Super Bowl every season.
Hollywood will bust out a number of movie trailers for upcoming flicks, including those for highly anticipated blockbusters like Jurassic World and Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron. Jim Vejvoda of IGN.com and ScreenCrush.com both had an extended list of movie trailers that are expected to air Sunday during the game.
Here is a look at a couple of them:
ScreenCrush.com set the stage for the Jurassic World advertisement, posing an intriguing question that is likely on the minds of fans of the franchise leading up to the trailer:
"One of the few movies actually confirmed to have a Super Bowl trailer, Universal will debut a new look at ‘Jurassic World’ during the game. Not entirely surprising given that NBC, the network airing the game, and Universal are owned by the same company. The big question is whether there will be new footage—including a reveal of the new Indominus Rex dino—or, whether it will be a retread of the recent theatrical teaser.
"
Regardless of whether fans are treated to a glimpse of the Indominus Rex or not, the football is far from the only thing that is sure to catch the attention of viewers Sunday.
