Paige and Natalya vs. the Bella Twins: Winner, Reaction from 2015 Royal Rumble

After suffering several singles losses to Paige and Natalya in recent weeks, The Bella Twins got some retribution Sunday night at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view by defeating the unlikely duo in a tag team match.

Despite the loss, WrestlingINC.com praised the teamwork of Paige and Natalya:

Over the past several weeks, Natalya has been involved in a feud with both Nikki and Brie Bella. Paige eventually inserted herself into the rivalry in order to even the odds, which is why the two pairings locked horns at the Rumble.

There was certainly an interesting dynamic on both sides entering the match. It wasn't long ago that The Bellas were at odds with each other. After Nikki turned on Brie at SummerSlam, Nikki also beat her sister at Hell in a Cell, which resulted in Brie having to be her twin's personal assistant for 30 days.

Rather than going their separate ways when the month was up, though, Brie decided to emulate Nikki's evil and manipulative ways.

As for Paige and Nattie, they have had an interesting relationship on the E! show Total Divas. As seen in this video courtesy of Total Divas' official Twitter account, WWE's Anti-Diva even licked The Queen of Harts during a match:

That led to some bad blood between Paige and Natalya on the show, but Nattie ultimately decided to loosen up a bit:

There were still some major question marks regarding how well they would coexist entering the Royal Rumble pay-per-view, but they seemed to be cultivating a better relationship on Twitter:

After falling short in their bid to take down The Bella Twins, there is no guarantee that Paige and Nattie will be on the same page moving forward. They have both expressed a desire to win the Divas Championship, which means they will have to vie against each other to get a shot at Nikki.

While plenty can happen between now and WrestleMania XXXI, it seems possible that there could be a Triple Threat or perhaps even a Fatal 4-Way for the title on the grandest stage of them all.

There is also one pay-per-view prior to WrestleMania in the form of Fast Lane, so it is anyone's guess how the title scene will play out, especially due to the volatile nature of the Divas division's booking.

What Sunday's match did prove, however, is that there is an underrated amount of talent among the Divas. Paige and Nattie are arguably the two best in-ring workers among the Divas, while Nikki and Brie have come a long way in that regard as well.

All four women put on a good show Sunday night, and WWE would be wise to continue letting them work together in the coming weeks and months.
