The Miz and Mizdow originally defeated Jimmy Uso and Jey Uso at the Survivor Series back in November. On the Dec. 29 edition of Raw, The Usos won back the belts.
Having the two teams face off at the Royal Rumble would be the perfect time for Miz and Mizdow to sow the seeds of dissension. As a tag team, they've gone about as far as they can together. However, a feud between the two would ensure that both superstars remain fresh.
Bleacher Report's Ryan Dilbert wrote that Mizdow potentially turning face and beating The Miz at WrestleMania would not only provide a big pop but could elevate Mizdow after he's fallen so far down the pecking order over the years:
"When he finally gets revenge on the man who mistreated him for months, who failed to appreciate him and who will eventually attack him, it's going to be cathartic.
It's felt like The Miz has been holding Mizdow hostage, refusing to tag him into matches. In a way, it feels like Mizdow being held back by WWE officials is playing out in symbolic fashion in the ring.
Mizdow stomping out The Miz in the glare of WrestleMania's lights would find him not only breaking away from a controlling overseer but breaking out as a singles star once more.
"
The Usos, meanwhile, would remain the team to beat in WWE, with other potential tag teams vying for a shot at the belt. The tag team division is still pretty barren, but neither Uso brother looks to be in position for a strong singles push.
The tag title match won't be the most heavily anticipated match at the Royal Rumble, but depending on the outcome, it could set in motion a hot angle between Mizdow and The Miz. And you can bet that the crowd in Philadelphia will be behind Mizdow the whole way.
