Atlanta Hawks to Host Tinder Dating Night for Fans

If you're a single person in the Greater Atlanta area interested in browsing your phone en masse, the Atlanta Hawks have a deal for you.

Partnering with the dating application Tinder, the Hawks will host a "Swipe Right Night" for Wednesday's matchup against the Memphis Grizzlies.

Cox Media writer Robby Kalland (h/t Sports Illustrated's Extra Mustard) confirms that online matchmaking and sports will soon cross paths at the Philips Arena.

It's unclear how the promotion will work, but one assumes the franchise is encouraging fans to engage in active and aggressive Tinder-ing during the game.

Here's how I imagine things proceeding on Tinder night:

TV Timeout: Tinder.

Game in progress: Tinder.

"It's a Match!": Exchange sensual messages about Kyle Korver's range.

Halftime: Meet your match in the concourse. Share greatest aspirations, deepest fears and sweet tea.

This may or may not be the blueprint to a successful Tinder Night with the Hawks. I personally hope an unprecedented number of hoops fans find their one and only Tinderoni at this event.

Furthermore, I expect this trend to catch on elsewhere. A certain franchise in Minnesota has already been caught asleep at the wheel by Atlanta's progressive tactics.

The "Tinderwolves" must respond.
